CONDITIONAL SENTENCE



CONDITIONAL SENTENCES

Conditional Sentence is:
A type of a sentence is used to make a condition or situation happens on the present or future time, or didn’t happen in the past time.

There are three types of Conditional Sentences:

1. Present Condition
          In present Condition, we use verb I and Present Future Tense.

2. Past Condition
          In Past Condition, we use verb II and Past Future Tense.

3. Past Perfect Condition
            In Past Perfect Condition, we use verb III and Past Future Perfect Tense.

If (Simple Present Tense, Present Future Tense)
Atau:

If + Subject + Verb I (s/es) + Object/ Comp, Subject + will + Verb I + O/ Comp

Ø  Subject I, You, We, They; verb I

Ø  Subject He, She, It; verb I(s/es)

Example:
1.    If You do the test perfectly, You will get a special present from your teacher.
2.    If Anita finishes her work on time, She will come home early. 

NOTE:
This conditional Sentence probably happens on the future time, do you know why?
Well, it's because of the Condition uses Present Type and Future Type.

Using Verb I
II
If (Simple Past Tense, Past Future Tense)
Atau:

If + Subject + Verb II (past) + Object/ Comp, Subject + would + verb I + O/ Comp

Ø  Subject I, You, We, They; verb II

Ø  Subject He, She, It; verb II

Example:
1.    If you did the test perfectly, you would get a special present from your teacher last week.
2.    If Anita finished her work on time, she would come home early.

NOTE:
This Conditional Sentence can not happen, because it uses the Condition Type in Past Condition. It Should happen in the past but It actually didn't happen at the time. (or nothing happen)

Using Verb II
III
If (Past Perfect Tense, Past Future Perfect Tense)

It's impossible to happen in the present time, because it was also occured in the past time too but it never happened.
Atau:

If + Subject + had + Verb III + Object/ Comp, Subject + would + have + Verb III + O/ Comp.

Ø  Subject I, You, We, They; verb III

Ø  Subject He, She, It; verb III

Example:
  1. If You had done the test perfectly, you would have got a special present from your teacher before you went out from the school.
  2. If Anita had finished her work on time, she would have come home early the time. 
Using Verb III
