My Best Friend, Haruka

In Senior high school, I had best friend from Japan. Her name was Haruka. She was beautiful, smart, and low profile. Because of that, many people loved her, included of me. Even though she was from foreign country that considered by many students she would be arrogant, but Haruka was different. She was a good girl.

Haruka and I became good friend each other. I was really glad having friend like her, although she was from rich family and I wasn’t. She enjoyed having a friend like me and there was no problem, for her, to share everything to me. For the example, when she had something, like knowledge, foods, or even gifts, she would give to me. Then, I did the same thing like her, if my mom made  food in which my mom usually made  traditional food, I would give that food to Haruka. We ate together, we had fun together.

One day, I was invited by Haruka’s family to attend Haruka’s birthday. I came to the building where she held her birthday party. I was very surprised when I looked to the building. It  was very luxurious and the entry had a quite beautiful decoration. I felt afraid to go inside. So, I only waited on the outside of the building, more precisely, I stood by the fence. After several minutes, I saw Haruka went out from the building. Oh my god!, she saw me. Soon after that, she came to me and asked why I did not come in. I did not answer, I only smiled. Then, she said to me that her birthday would not be started without me. I was very touched in hearing that and I hugged her. Then, Haruka and I came in. Many guests had arrived and suddenly they looked at Haruka and me. I was very shy. Then, the party started. Before that, Haruka’s parents introduced me to the guests that I was the best friend of her daughter.

Furthermore, the thing that made me surprised that Haruka’s family wanted me follow them to holiday in Japan next month. Off course I want because it must be interesting experience. Many people gave applause to me and Haruka’s family. I was so touched and on that place I wanted to cry. I was fortunate having friend like Haruka and knew Haruka’s family well.

Long-long time ago, on the island of Simbau, in the Sulawesi sea, there lived a kind and his beautiful daughter. The Princess wasn’t only beautiful, but she was also wise and kind.

Many princess wanted to marry the king’s daughter and this made the king confused. He, then, annouced a contest : whoever presented the princess with the most valuable gift would marry her.           Takatuliang, a poor wood carver, wanted to join the contest but he was so poor that he had nothing to present. Then, he went far away into the forest. There he chose the best tree and carved into a doll. Next, he took an old piece of cloth and sewed it into a dress for a doll. After that, he cut his own hair and glued it to the doll’s head.

On the day of the contest, all of the princess gathered before the king and the princess. On by one, they presented their gifts: diamonds, silk, gold, jewelry. Then came Takatuliang’s turn.
What do you have?’asked the princess.
‘I bring only a doll’. said Takatuliang softly
How many doll’s like this do you have?’asked the princess again.
Only this one. I carved it my self and dekorated it with my own hair and my father’s old cloth. He died and this is the only thing he left me”. answered takatuliang.

The princess was very touched to hear Takatuliang’s story. She decided to marry Takatuliang because he had presented her everything he had. Not long after that, They, Takatuliang and the princess got married and lived happily ever after.

BOROBUDUR TEMPLE

Borobudur Temple
Well guys, do you know about Borobudur temple and where is this temple located?
Okay, here I’ll explain you detail about Borobudur temple now. Borobudur is a Buddhist temple. . Borobudur is located in Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia. Borobudur comes from the Two Old Javanese words mean; "Sambhara" is "Besar" and "Budura" means "Budha"
Borobudur is well-known all over the world. Borobudur temple was built by the king of Samaratungga from an ancient kingdom around of the end of eighth century and the first of ninth century under the Syailendra dinasty. Its construction is influenced by the Gupta architecture of India. The temple is constructed on a hill 46 meter high and consists of eight steps like stone terrace. The first five terraces are square and surrounded by walls adorned with Buddhist sculpture in bas-relief. The upper three are circular. Each of them is with a circle of bell shape-stupa. The entire upper structure is crowned by a large stupa at the center of the top circle. The way to the summit extends through some 4.8 km of passage and stairways. Hi guys, are you still interested about this story? Don’t miss it, just read and focus on it!

So guys, what about the design of this temple? The design of Borobudur symbolizes the conception of universe in Buddhist cosmology. It is believed that the universe is divided into three spiritual spheres, Kamadhatu, Rupadhatu, and Arupadhatu. The first sphere, Kamadhatu, represents respectively the sphere of desires where we are bound to our desires; the second sphere, rupadhatu, represents forms where we abandon our desires but are still bound to name and form; and the last sphere, arupadhatu, represents formlessness where there is no longer either name or form. Borobudur temple which is rededicated as an Indonesian monument in 1983 is a valuable treasure for Indonesian people. With its magnificent size and architecture, no wonder that Borobudur Temple includes 7 wonders of the world.
Sir Thomas Stanford Rafles said that Borobudur was built around of 850 AM (After Masehi). Borobudur is from Bore which means Village or Desa and Budur means Ancient or Purba. So Borobudur is a very amazing temple which was built in one of a small village as the Indonesian Heritage in Syailendra Dinasty of the King Samaratungga.
Okay guys, I think that’s all about this information for you about Borobudur Temple, thanks for reading it and see you on the next topics.
