CULTURE SHOW

Friday and Saturday are the most interesting days for Pangudi Luhur Foundation because we have a special event, Culture Show. The event is held in two days, Friday and Saturday and it shows many kinds of traditional dances, traditional songs, pop bands, and also creative modern dances.
Before all shows, we have two important speech which are spoken by Br. Valentinus Naryo, FIC., M. Pd., as the Pangudi Luhur Foundation Head in Ketapang and Dr. Ucup Supriyatna, S. Pd., M. Pd. Br. Valentinus Naryo, FIC says in his speech that this event is held to entertain people who are visiting hypermart while shopping and also to encourage Pangudi Luhur Foundation Schools in Ketapang, both in Ketapang city or out of city. The theme of this Culture Show is "Caring for Diversity, Realizing the Integrity of the Republic of Indonesia". This event can be held easily because of the Pangudi Luhur Support and some of Funds Contributors we couldn't mention here. The funds we get, we use for anything to support this event, like for sound system, setting area contract, food delivery, customs payment, goods transportation fare, and many others.
In this special event, Br. Valentinus Naryo, FIC also appreciates to schools who are from out of Ketapang city, like from Saint Alcuino Junior High School, Jungkal, Natai Panjang, Serengkah, and Pasir Mayang Elementary School. While the schools from Tanjung are Saint Don Bosco Junior High School, Setipayan Elementary School. He also says that creativities of the schools in Ketapang city are very helpful to perform the best performance, they are Saint Mary Kinder School, Saint Joseph Elementary School, Saint Albert Junior High School and Saint John Senior High School.
Dr. Ucup Supriyatna as the Head of Education Department also delivers his speech, he really supports Pangudi Luhur Foundation Program in serving faith and education for humanity in Ketapang city. Moreover, he says that this Culture Show presents various cultures in Ketapang and also a kind of slot for improving Character's Education for students in reaching the goal of "FIVE PRINCIPLES STUDENTS' PROFILE"
So, what performance can we watch in this Culture Show?
In this special event, we can watch many kinds performances, you can see the rundown program here. Then, what cultures are shown in this event? Well, Smart English Education Viewers, we can watch Dayak Traditional Dances, Javanese Traditional Dance, Chinese Traditional Dance, Batak Dances, Traditional Song From Batak and Timor.
Not only traditional we can watch here but we can also watch modern dances and pop songs.
In the morning sessions, we have special visiting schools, both at Saint Albert School and Saint John High School. What do they do at the schools?
We can see a special performance from Saint Albert Junior High School, Drumband performance which is done by Drumband Extra Curricular team trained by Mr. Julius Jatu Wijatmoko. After drumband performance, they go toward Saint Albert Sport Center to join meeting to know about Saint Albert School, for instants; how many rooms there are, total of teachers at school, which multimedia room is, computer laboratory and many others. They are also accompanied by Students Organization persons while they are visiting Saint Albert area. Finally, this event ends at eleven and then they come back to Catholic Center Boarding house for relaxing (taking a rest).
The next day morning, they also visit Saint John Senior High School. In this event, all students of Saint Albert School join to go there. So, what do they do there?
It's really interesting, do you know why? At this section, first time they gather in front of Saint John school. They are explored some beautifulness by Students Organization Team, like going to visit the classes, Laboratory both of Computer and Science. Besides they can join together in special program, it is "LIVE PERFORMANCE PROGRAM". What is it? In this section, they are invited to perform their skills in singing pop or traditional songs.
