Today I want to tell you simply about learning the subject.

First time never say that this subject is so difficult to learn but please think positively and be anthusiastic that this subject is very easy to understand.

Okay guys, let’s see this together!

PRESENT PERFECT TENSE, what is that?

PRESENT = Saat ini

PERFECT = Sempurna

TENSE      = Bentuk kata kerja

So, Present Perfect Tense adalah:

Bentuk kata kerja yang digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu perbuatan/ tindakan, peristiwa yang dimulai dari waktu lampau dan berakhir tepat pada saat ini.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Pattern of the sentence:

 Subject + have/ has + Verb III + Object + Complement

 

Example:

I have studied at Saint Albert Junior High School since two years ago.

Saya telah bersekolah di SMP Santo Albertus sejak dua tahun yang lalu.

Martha has studied at Saint Albert Junior High School since two years ago.

Martha telah bersekolah di SMP Santo Albertus sejak dua tahun yang lalu.  

 

The use of Have or Has depends on its subject:

  I, You, We, They ====> have

  

  He, She, It =========> has

 

Other examples of this form are:

1.      My brother has gone to Jakarta for three weeks.

2.      James and Black have studied Germany since last year.

3.     This company director and her secretary have accomplished the project.

Note:

Gone is a verb from (Go) è means pergi (Irregular Verb/ Kata kerja tak beraturan)

Studied is a verb from (Study) è means belajar (Regular Verb/ Kata kerja beraturan)

 

Examples above are positive sentence, so how about the Negative Sentence?

Look at these examples!

1.      My brother hasn’t gone to Jakarta.  for three weeks.

2.      James and Black have not studied Germany since last year.

3.      This company director and her secretary haven’t accomplished the project.

Then you may look at these examples for Interrogative sentence!

(YES NO QUESTION)

1.      Has your brother gone to Jakarta?

2.      Have James and Black studied Germany?

3.      Have this company director and her secretary accomplished the project?

 

WH- QUESTION:

1.      Where has your brother gone for three weeks? (Answer: Jakarta)

2.      How long has your brother gone to Jakarta? (Answer: for three weeks)

3.      Who has gone to Jakarta for three weeks? (Answer: my brother)

4.      Why has your brother gone to Jakarta for three weeks? (Answer: visiting parents)

3.      Sopir-sopir truk itu telah beristirahat di warung makan ini selama dua puluh lima menit.

4.      Ibu ditemani oleh kakakku telah menggoreng nasi untukku.

5.      Penari itu telah menari dengan indahnya selama 5 menit.

 

B.     Translate these sentences below into Indonesian!

1.    Our president has announced the gasoline price increasing since last night.

2.    The people have cut the tree down along the street since two weeks ago.

3.    The plane Ketapang to Semarang has flied for thirty minutes.

4.    The man has sold his sporty car to his new friend cheaply.

5.    No body has made this project correctly and savely.
