WHAT IS PROCEDURE TEXT?
We often listen and know about the word "Procedural Text"
What is this?
Procedural Text
Is a text which explains about how to tell us in making, cooking or operating something with some certain steps.
We usually use "Simple Present Tense" in this text.
What is Simple Present Tense?
Simple Present Tense is A Type of Simple Sentence use to epress the situation or action happens in present or habitual action.
Pattern:
A. I, You, We, They + V1 + O/ Comp
Exampe:
I go to United State by plane every year.
Alexa and Nanda cook noodle once a month.
B. He, She, It + V1 (es/s) + O/ Comp.
Example:
Alexa walks to school every morning.
My mother runs everyday to her office.
My sister goes to her school by bike.
In this case,
We use Imperative Sentence to show this procedural text.
By this matter, we should not put the subject on every sentence.
Elements
What is "Element"?
Elements are the parts of the procedural text, consists of:
1. Title
Title is the name of what we want to explain
2. Equipments or materials
Equipments is the tools we need to do the way.
Materials is the things we need to do something.
3. Steps
The procedures of making something.
The purpose of Procedure Text is:
To tell us how to make or cook something.
Example of Imperative Sentence:
1. Open the pack!
2. Open the door, please!
3. Please open the plastic and pour the seasoning powder!
4. Could you help me open this cap?
5. Would you lift this box onto the table, please?
Can you help me now?
