FLAG CEREMONY 

CELEBRATING 71 INDONESIAN INDEPENDENCE DAY

AUGUST 17, 2016

As usual for every seventeen August, all Indonesian participate to have flag ceremony to celebrate our Independence Day, also in Merdeka Palace.

Our school, Pangudi Luhur Foundation, Saint Albert Junior School also held a flag ceremony to celebrate it. The flag ceremony was started at 7 a.m. and all of Saint Albert Students felt very happy and enthusiastic for joining the ceremony. Do you know why?

Seventeen August, nineteen forty five was special even for Indonesia getting free from the Dutch and Japanese colonial. Indonesia stated The Independent Day proclaimed to public by Ir. Soekarno and his vice, Moh Hatta through mass media, Radio and television. 

Well, we were so happy when our teacher asked us to have in charge on the flag ceremony,

We were:

1. Flag Ceremony Commander, Stevania Tan

2. Flag Raiser, Doni Fernando, Agnes Ersa Tania and Andrean

3. Team leader, Jonathan Alfredo, Aicen, and Evan Mangapul Sihombing

4. Pancasila (Five Principles Duty), Ray Gowell

5. Choir Conductor, Aristawipana Marina

6. UUD (Indonesian Constitution Reader), Louis Hayden Putri

7. Master of Ceremony, Novia Angela

8. The Prayer, Nadya Eulalia

9. Choir, Saint Albert Choir Group special for National Flag Ceremony, 

     they are like: 

     Margaretha Tiara, Martha Agustina Sagala, Andreas Rivaldo J. O., Rogerio Yelo S, Ign. Jhoel,    

     and many more.

And Our vice principal, Mr. Ign. Agung P., was the inspector of the Independence Flag Ceremony.

In this case, he said about How to improve our Nationalism Spirit by studying hard positively both at school or home. He added, it was not easy to make our country to have a freedom, they, the heroes should fight hard against the Dutch or Japanese Colonial. In fact, they could win for it, and now we get it, so, just it? of course no. As the young generation, we must really know the main enemy for us. It is handphone, he also said we wisely used our handphone as its function, for instant; searching subjects for learning, getting information for improving our knowledge and others.

The questions was that, can we use our phone for playing games?

Of course yes, we can, but not for hobby or gambling.

Okay, short idea from Mr. Agung was that we should study . . . study . . .and study harder to get a success.

The duration of the flag ceremony was about forty five minutes, although it was long we felt happy, because all the participants of the ceremony were really strong. 

Not only that, we could know that the group of the choir was singing very well, songs they sang were  "Hari Merdeka, Berkibarlah Benderaku and Mars SMP Albertus". 

Thanks God, you have sent us many powerful and smart students, they will be the next generation after us.

I have five of balloons

There are various in colours

Green, Yellow also Grey
