Okay guys, today we will learn about "PROFESSION, ARTICLES AND ANIMALS" before we continue, I hope that you all are in well condition or just get healthy at home so do I. Well, I'm so sorry for many times we didn't meet together in the same time and place for learning. Our learning system is always online everyday, I know that it is not easy for you to understand all subjects you learn however, we should say first to save, avoid from any health attack because we have agreed to keep healthy from this serious virus, Covid-19. 

Okay students, 

In this part, I want to deliver information to learn, let's start one by one:

 

A. PROFESSION 

What do you know about profession? This word is very familiar in Indonesia (Pekerjaan), there are many kinds of Professions. So, what are professions actually? 

Professions are kinds of a someone's job which can make someone gets salary or benefit from their works. Below are examples of Professions we know:

 

 

1. TEACHER: Is a person who teaches students at school with his knowledge skill.

2. LECTURER: Is a person who teaches Universities students with his/ her knowledge skill.

3. DRIVER: Is a person who drives a car for money income

4. POLICEMAN: Is a man who works in a police staff office or police station, including a traffic police

5. CLEANING SERVICE: Is a person who works in an office for cleaning the office area

6. MANAGER: Is a person who works in an office or factory who manages the factory activities for production.

7. ENGINEER: Is a person who works to fix the engine, car engines, factory engines, electrical problems and many others.

8. SHOPKEEPER: Is a person who works in a shop to serve customers or buyers

9. DOCTOR: Is a person who diagnose patients

10. NURSE: Is a person who helps a doctor to take care of the patients

11. DANCER: Is a person who dance a traditional or modern dance to entertain people with his/ her performance.

12. SINGER: Is a person who entertains people with his/ her voice

Well students, there are some examples of profession you may know here, still many other of professions you can get. You may browse to the internet about kinds of professions as many as you can get from it. 

B. ARTICLES

What are articles? 

In this case, we will know that Articles can be divided into two parts:

1. Definite Article (The) is an article which is used to indicate a noun which is clear before. 

Examples:

The pen is very good. 

Pen itu amat bagus.

(Dalam hal ini kita sudah tahu, Pen mana yang dimaksud oleh penulis)

The car is very luxurious and beautiful.

(Dalam hal ini kita sudah tahu, Mobil mana yang dimaksud oleh penulis) dengan memberikan penanda itu atau "The". 

The apples are very delicious to eat now.

(Apel-apel tersebut sangat enak untuk dimakan sekarang, ini sangat jelas apel yang mana yang dimaksud oleh penulis dengan penyebut "tersebut".

2. Indefinite Articles (An, a) are articles which shows something unclear. 

Examples:

I have a pen. In this sentence, I just talk about my pen, which pen is not clear because there's no point "The".

Sams has a beautiful car. Dia hanya mengatakan kalau Sams memiliki mobil yang bagus, tapi yang mana itu belum jelas. Mengapa? Karena tidak ada penunjuknya.

My mother has an apple, it is in the fridge, she wants to eat the apple.

(Pada kalimat yang pertama, an apple belum menunjukkan sesuatu yang jelas, namun bagian kalimat berikutnya sudah langsung jelas dengan adanya the apple

Catatan:

Kapan kita menggunakan "a" dan kapan menggunakan "an" pada penyebutannya?

Well students,

We use "a" to mention the thing of:

- Singular count noun

- The count noun word with consonant letter at first

Examples: a pen, a hand phone, a book, a television, a radio, a house, a car, a motorcycle, a table

We use "an" to mention the thing of:

- Singular count noun

- The count noun word with vowel letter at first

Examples: an hour, an apple, an unhappy man, an amazing opinion, an octopus, an owl and more.

C. ANIMALS

 

If we talk about animals, there are many kinds of animals in the world. Animals are livings individu which lives in the world, they can either survive or not. Animals which can survive themselves, can live and grow together with other animals in their habitat. According to its habitat, animals can be classified as: animals which lives on the land and water. Animals which lives on the land, like mammals (Cow, Goat, Dog, Cat, Horse), birds, reptiles (Crocodile, Monitor Lizard, Snake), pets and other wild animals while animals lives in water are classed as fish. Animals which live both on the land and water are amphibi.

Okay students, 

How many kinds of animals do you know? Many kinds, right?

 

Now, let's know about pets examples:

Hen,  Rooster, Goat, Cow, Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, Birds, Colorful fish.

How about wild animals?

Lizard, Tiger, Lion, Snake, Deer, Zebra, Elephant, Camel, Monkey, Kangaroo.

 

And then what can we know about Amphibi?

Frog,  Salamander,  Apoda, Purple Frog.
