Akeyla Naraya is 12 years old. She is a young designer from Indonesia. She lives in Bekasi. Her mother owns a connection business, and Akeyla often watches her mother does her job. 

Akeyla doesn't just design. She also emphasizes the motifs and meaning of her clothes. "Inspiration for my design can come from anywhere, from people, bottles, museums, buildings, and landscapes," said Akeyla.

Right now, Akeyla is focusing on the batik patterns, namely Batik Ayam Ciparage. "The most characteristics in my batik are Ciparage chicken batik and natural dye batik. I'm still focusing on making Ciparage chicken batik. I made the motifs myself," said Akeyla.

To support her activities in design, Akeyla's parents allow her to take a homeschooling. Akeyla manages her time very well. She does her hobby in designing, work on her school assignments, even runs her own clothing business. Yes, she owns a cloth store, her brand is "K".

Akeyla has participated in various fashion events in several countries, such as Lebanon and Russia. She always presents motifs that represent Indonesia in her shows abroad. In 2018, the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) granted her as the Inspirational Figures 2018.

JOSH IS THE BEST JUGGLER

 I AM JOSH FROM LOS ANGELES

Hi! I am Josh, 29 years old. I am from Los Angeles, California, and this is my story. I started out as a juggler, performing, travelling and doing shows. I've got 9 gold medals in the World Championships of Juggling. I have got Guinness World Records Titles. And now I consider myself as a content creator because I create videos for a living. 

Juggling is so awesome and I love it so much. I started to learn juggling when I was in an Elementary School. My friends and I were always supportive of my juggling, but when I started talking of making it as a career, there was a little bit of hesitation from my parents. 

I started my street performing at Saint Monica, and I did some random gigs here and there. I started performing more seriously, I started to grow my own social media followers. I knew I wanted to be more than a juggler, and I wanted to have a strong relationship with my fans. My way to go there is through World Records Wednesdays. Every single Wednesday for two and a half years now, I would break or set a world record, including most apples sliced while juggling knives, the longest time to juggle five full-sized basketballs, the longest time to balance a guitar on your head, and many more.

I truly believe that if you love something and you are willing to work hard enough at it, you can make it a career. Treat it like a real job, wake up at 7 A.M. and start working. You can't expect results without putting in efforts. I went from full time performer to full time content creator. I never want to stop performing, there's just nothing like this.

     Buffalo are big, strong, dark-coloured mammals with huge horns. African buffalo live in herds of several hundred usually near water, as they love to wallow in mud. African buffalo have very bad tempers, so humans never managed to tame them. Water buffalo are found in the wetter areas of Asia. Few are found in the wild now and they are mostly kept as farm animals. Water buffalo have been domesticated for 3,000 years. They are used to pull carts and ploughs, but they can be kept for their meat, milk, and hides. Only a few survive in the wild in Asia, but buffalo are released to run free in the swamps of Northern Territory of Australia.

TOURISM OBJECTS IN SUKADANA

 TRAVELLING TO SUKADANA

On Wednesday, my students and I went to Kayong Utara. 

We stayed at Tiara hotel in Sukadana.

On Thursday, we visited a temple in Sedahan village. There was a big temple and it was really amazing. We enjoyed the panorama in the village, and I was so surprised when I saw many farmers was having fruits harvest together at the moment. We ate durians, local mangoes or kuini, and also oranges, you know that they were so tasty.

On Friday morning, we went to Gunung Palung Mountain. We spent there for about four hours. We were so lucky because we were led by two smart and friendly guides, they were Mr. Frenky and Miss Linda. We were so happy, because we could see “Orang Utan” at the place. It was one of the icons of Gunung Palung in Kayong Utara. Then, we continued our journey to Pulau Datuk beach. 

We arrived at Pulau Datuk beach at four thirty in the afternoon, the views were so exotic and really beautiful. We played a banana boat and took some pictures. I had never felt as happy as I did before, it was really excited for me, and the next day, we left for Pontianak by speed boat at seven thirty in the early day. I hope that I can visit Kayong Utara again at the other vacation. 

SANGKURIANG STORY FROM WEST JAVA

 SANGKURIANG

The Legend Of Sangkuriang From West Java

Dayang Sumbi was a beautiful and kind-hearted princess, but sometimes she was very lazy. Her hobby was weaving cloth. One day her weaving tool fell. Tumang, a male dog, came to bring her tool back to her. As she had promised, she married him. Tumang was actually a man who had been cursed by a witch to become a dog. But sometimes he could turn back to a normal man. Dayang Sumbi and Tumang got one son. His name was Sangkuriang. He did not know that Tumang was his father because he was a dog whenever he was with him. Tumang always accompanied Sangkuriang whenever he went hunting in the woods.

When he was twelve years old, Dayang Sumbi asked Sangkuriang to bring her a deer’s heart. But after many days in the woods, he could not find a deer. He did not want to disappoint his mother, so he killed Tumang and brought his heart home and gave it to his mother. Because of her love to Tumang, Dayang Sumbi knew it was his heart, not a deer’s heart. She got very angry at Sangkuriang. She hit him with a piece of wood on his forehead, and told him to go away. Badly wounded, Sangkuriang left her and the village.

One day Sangkuriang went back to his village. He was big and strong. There he met a beautiful young woman. He fell in love with her at the first sight. He did not know that she was Dayang Sumbi. She could never get older because she was granted eternal youth by the gods.

One day he approached Dayang Sumbi to propose her. Dayang Sumbi saw the bad scar on his forehead. She soon realized that he was her own son, Sangkuriang. She told him the truth again and again but he would not believe her. She was thinking hard to find a way not to marry him. Then she got an idea. She gave him a task which she thought was impossible for him to do. She asked him to make her a lake and a boat in one night. She did not know Sangkuriang had genies to help him to do the task.

By dawn both the lake and the boat were almost done. Dayang Sumbi got very worried. She was thinking hard again to find a way to fail him. Then she had an idea. She asked the people in the village to burn the woods in the east, so that the light made all the cocks in the village crow. The genies thought that the morning was almost broken. They ran away as fast they could, leaving the boat unfinished. Knowing Dayang Sumbi cheated him, Sangkuriang got very angry. He kicked the boat so hard that it went upside down. It is now known as Mount Tangkuban Perahu.
