HOW TO ASK FOR A HELP FROM OTHERS

There are some useful expression to ask for a help from our friends or others. The expression can be in written or oral. So guys, today Let me tell you about this   information to do it.

Here are some of the examples you can use.

Expressions used to ask for a help.

1. Can you give me a hand, please?
2. Could you help me for a second?
3. Can I ask a favour?
4. I wonder if you could help me with this, please!
5. I could do with some help, please.
6. I can't manage. Can you help me?
7. Could you help me, please?
8. I can’t handle it, please help me!
9. Could you spare a moment?
10. I need some help, please!
11. Can you spare for a second, please?

9. If it’s never mind, I want to help you.

Expression used to refuse a help from someone.

1. Thanks for your help, but I can handle it myself.
2. Thank you very much you want to help but I’m really okay with this problem.
3. Don’t worry. I can do it myself,  anyway thanks.
4. Oh, no thanks. I think it’s not a big problem for me to do.
5. Well, Joe. I can solve this matter myself.
6. Thanks a lot, my dear friend but I can do it myself so far.
7. No, thank you. But it’s not a serious problem, so I’ll handle it alone.
8. Take it easy, Mom. I will find it later.
9. Thank you sir, but I will try to do it soon.
10. Don’t be anxious, Sir. I can solve this problem as fast as I can.

Expressions used to refuse to help someone.

1. Actually I want to help but I can’t.
2. Sorry I can not help you because I’m very busy today. Maybe tomorrow.
3. I’m very sorry that I can’t help you now.
4. Exactly I would like to help but I must accompany my father to go to a hospital this morning.
5. It’s not pleased for me that I can’t help you.
6. Joe, I’m so sorry I can’t help you because there is a homework to do with Nita now.
7. Actually I would help you but I also have a big problem to solve now.
8. Well, Joe. I can’t help you now but if it’s okay, I will do it later.
9. Sorry, guys I do not help you because I must be at home on time.
10. Please forgive me, I can not help you today. I must fly to Jakarta this afternoon.

Dialog one:

Sahid               : Hi, Mahendra. Are you in your house?

Mahendra        : Yes, I am. What’s going on?

Sahid               : I have a little problem.

Mahendra        : What is that?

Sahid               : I have to do my Mathematics homework. But, my book left in the school.

  So, it makes me cannot see the questions that I have to answer.

  Can you help me?

Mahendra        : Ya. But what I have to do?

Sahid               : May I borrow your book?

Mahendra        : Sure.

Sahid               : I will take the book right now. Can I go to your house now?

Mahendra        : Of course you can.

Sahid               : Thank you Mahendra.

Mahendra        : You’re welcome Sahid.

Dialog two:

Tania               : Hi Eddy. What’s happen with you? Why are you so sad?

Eddy               : I can’t go to the beach with them tomorrow.

Tania               : You have said that you can go, haven’t you?

Eddy               : Yes, you’re right. Last week I said that I could go to the beach.

Tania               : Now, why do you say that you can not go?

Eddy               : I can’t tell you the reason.

Tania               : Oh, come on Eddy. I will keep your secret.

Eddy               : I lost my money, so that I can’t have money to go.

Tania               : Oh I see, so, What can I do for you, Eddy?

Eddy               : Ya, if you want me to go, I need money and where can I get it, Tania?

 

Tania               : You may use my money first, Just take it now. You don’t have to return it.

Eddy               : No. I don’t want bother you.

Tania               : No problem Eddy. Just use it.

Eddy               : I just wanna borrow it.

Tania               : Okey if you wanna borrow it. This is my money. You can give it back to

  me just when you can do it for me.

Eddy               : Thank you Tania.

Tania               : You’re welcome Eddy.

Complete this dialog in order it will be a good order conversation!

Edo                  : Hi, Eric, Good afternoon. How are you today?
